Blood in Buddha Temple
▲ Conception
It is a virtual worldview that takes elements from Japan's Edo period and monster culture, combined with steampunk style, to produce a world where monsters and mechs coexist. This is a tragic case that happened in a Buddhist temple, about the feud between the cat and the mouse and the dispute over the interests of the Buddha's relics. Since the world view and plot were not yet complete, I chose the main characters and props as an exercise in visual character design.
This project was born out of the national dress appreciation course of Fashion design major that I took as an elective in my third year, where I did some research and study on kimono and became interested in traditional Japanese patterns. At the end of the class, I designed this group of characters and the pattern of their clothes.
